Your children need to see God’s

enacted through daily life
in having all the stability there

because the parent leans on Jesus
for help that is secure

during anxiety and frustration
anger always creeps in
to try your patience to the end
the flesh will sometimes win

the awesome task of raising kids
amid a world that’s sour
one needs the guiding strength of God
to give one added power

put off the deeds of all the flesh
God’s armor you will need
and get into the realm of God
on eternal things do feed

with God’s help you can raise your kids
you become a light to them
they see the brightness of God’s truth
being portrayed within
